Today's Tip
Computers and monitors consume an average of 7% of an office's energy.  Use your computer's energy-saving modes, and make sure to turn them off when you go home.  You'll also be protecting your machine against harmful attacks.  Check out our resources page!

Commuter Challenge

It's time for the Commuter Challenge! This is a national program that encourages people to get involved in sustainable transportation. The idea is for regular drivers to walk, cycle, or ride the bus to work or school for the week, and consider switching to sustainable modes more permanently. Also, it's a chance for communities to show how green they are by registering the thousands of people who already make these choices. Get registered within your Faculty by going to the Commuter Challenge homepage, www.commuterchallenge.net. Click through Ontario, Schools, University of Waterloo, and your Faculty. Then, log your travel activity online during the week of June 30th to May 4th. By registering within your Faculty, we can measure the participation of different groups on campus. May the best Faculty win! Contact Jason at ext. 6337 if you have any questions.

Why CCEAC?

Climate change is the most important global issue that we face - and often, the hardest to understand.  The Climate Change Education and Awareness Campaign is here to inform staff, students, and faculty in the UW community on this issue.  Our goal is to educate you about climate change and inspire you to take action.  Pay us a visit in SLC 3102, and check out our upcoming events. If you want to get involved, see the volunteers page, or simply contact us.  That's what we're here for, and we look forward to seeing you.
